Lon Morton’s career began at the age of 17 as a professional baseball player with the California Angels and Cleveland Indians organizations. He entered the employee benefits profession in 1968. In 1978, he founded The Morton Company, an actuarial and pension consulting firm, which was sold in 1990 after growing to service more than 1,400 pension and profit sharing plans. In 1981 Lon formed Morton Capital Management, which became a registered investment advisory firm in 1983, specializing in customized tactical asset allocation integrating the use of alternative investments on a fee-only basis. Lon served on various charitable and industry organizations and was dedicated to supporting the non-profit community. He served as an executive committee member on the International Board of Governors at the Weizmann Institute and also served on the Board of Governors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley. A family man, a pioneer, a leader.

Meghan H. Pinchuk
Meghan Pinchuk joined Morton Capital in April 2006 after graduating summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles. Meghan serves as Co-CEO and is a member of the Board of Managers as well as the Investment Committee at Morton Capital. Meghan is a CFA® chartholder and a member of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts. She is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Jeffrey Sarti served as Morton Capital’s Chief Investment Officer from 2004 through 2007. In 2008, Jeffrey left Morton Capital to become co-managing partner of Crosscourt Capital Management, a hedge fund firm specializing in volatility and options trading strategies. Upon the close of Crosscourt Capital in 2011, Jeffrey rejoined Morton Capital. He is currently Co-CEO and a member of the Board of Managers as well as the Investment Committee at Morton Capital. Before joining Morton Capital, in 2002, Jeffrey worked at McKee Investment Management, where he served as a portfolio manager and credit analyst overseeing $750 million in assets. From 1999 through 2001, he was employed as a portfolio manager at Joel R. Mogy Investment Counsel, overseeing $1 billion in assets. Jeffrey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Stanford University and his MBA in finance from the Anderson School of Business at the University of California, Los Angeles. Jeffrey is a CFA® chartholder.
Eric J. Selter
Executive Vice President and CCO
Eric Selter is Executive Vice President and CCO of Morton Capital. He is involved in the development of investment strategies, portfolio construction, implementation solutions, manager searches and due diligence. In addition to his responsibilities as an investment advisor, Eric is also responsible for the integration of back office and technology systems to increase productivity and enhance services to clients. Eric earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1979. He then attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he was awarded his Juris Doctor degree in 1982. Before joining Morton Capital, Eric was President and Chief Executive Officer of National Staff Network, then the nation’s oldest and most prominent employee leasing company.
Stacey L. McKinnon
Chief Operating Officer
Stacey McKinnon joined Morton Capital in March 2014. She works alongside our wealth advisors to provide support to both clients and advisors. She is also an integral part of the Morton Capital marketing and business development team. Stacey graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in September 2007, with Bachelor of Arts degrees in business economics and religious studies. Stacey is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and holds a Series 65 license.
Co-Chief Investment Officer
Sasan Faiz is the Co-Chief Investment Officer at Morton Capital. Prior to joining the firm, he was the Chief Investment Officer at Partnervest Advisory Services. In that capacity, he designed, developed and managed the STAR Asset Management Program and led the investment management efforts for the firm’s largest outsourced advisor. From 1999 to 2002, Sasan was the portfolio manager for a high-tech hedge fund in Santa Barbara. Prior to that, he was the General Partner for Doji Capital Partners LP, formed for the purpose of investing in small- to medium-capitalization technology issues. From 1989 to 1997, Sasan was in institutional sales with the Middle Markets Group at Merrill Lynch in Los Angeles. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Michigan.
Joseph A. Seetoo
Senior Vice President
Joseph Seetoo is Senior Vice President and a partner at Morton Capital, with more than 15 years of experience in developing investment strategies for affluent business owners and high-net-worth families. Prior to joining Morton Capital in August 2007, he served as the Director of Investment Research for Georgina Asset Management, a registered investment advisor located in Santa Monica, from September 2003 until July 2007 and as the Director of Operations from May 2000 until September 2003. Joseph began his investment career with Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., Inc., in 1998. Joseph is a CFA® chartholder, and a member of the CFA Institute and the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts. Joseph is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a member of ProVisors®. He has served a number of philanthropic organizations and is currently a member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Conejo Valley. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in economics and international relations from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia.
Bruce L. Tyson
Bruce Tyson joined Morton Capital in 2015. Prior to joining MCM, Bruce was the President and Director of Weston Capital Management since 1997 and had been with the firm since 1985. He serves on the Investment Committee at Morton Capital and is a wealth advisor to clients of the firm. Bruce earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University. Bruce has been active in the Westside community of Los Angeles, co-founding The Pump Station (a resource for new parents) when his first daughter was born, and as a nonprofit board member for a seniors organization.
Jason R. Naiman
Jason Naiman entered the financial services industry in 1968 with the Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. Prior to joining Morton Capital in 1991, Jason was involved in financial and investment planning, including as an investment specialist with IDS/American Express. He specialized in financial and estate planning for individual and corporate clients from 1968 to 1982, achieving life member status in the Million Dollar Round Table. From 1982 to 1985, he served as Vice President of Marketing for Real Property Services Corporation, a firm that specialized in real estate investments. Jason was listed in the first edition of Who’s Who in California Business and Finance. His professional credentials include Chartered Financial Consultant®.
Priscilla A. Brehm
Priscilla Brehm is a wealth advisor at Morton Capital. In 1971, she entered the financial services industry after a four-year tour with an international musical group. In 1984, she founded a private financial planning practice primarily serving business owners. She joined Morton Capital full-time in 1989 as an investment advisor. Priscilla is active in various professional and community organizations. She has served on the Board of the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce and the Board for the Economic Alliance for the San Fernando Valley. Her professional designations include Chartered Financial Consultant® and Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor®. She was a 1998 nominee for the prestigious Fernando Award, given to an outstanding volunteer in the San Fernando Valley.
Chris Galeski joined Morton Capital in March 2018, and has over 8 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in financial planning and executive compensation with high-net-worth individuals. Prior to joining Morton Capital, he worked at Fidelity Investments as an investment consultant, financial consultant and, most recently, as Vice President, Executive Planning Consultant, with a focus on financial planning, benefits optimization and executive compensation for executives in the entertainment and aerospace industry. Chris started his career in financial services with the RJC Group at Morgan Stanley in 2009. Prior to working in the financial services industry, Chris was a professional golfer on various mini-tours around the country from 2003-2009. Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from San Diego State University, where he was also on the Division I men’s golf team. He holds a Series 66 license and is currently in the process of earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Wade Calvert joined Morton Capital Management in 2016. He has over seven years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on providing comprehensive wealth management solutions to business owners and affluent families. Prior to joining Morton, he worked as a financial consultant with Fidelity, and served as Director of Family Office Services for American Financial Network, a registered investment advisor located in Calabasas. Wade graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Kevin G. Rex
Kevin Rex joins Morton Capital after a long search for the perfect investment advisory firm because “there is no other firm that puts the clients’ best interest first in everything they do and every decision they make.” Prior to Morton Capital, Kevin worked with Stryker, an orthopedic medical device business, specializing in total joint replacements as well as trauma care. There he developed unique and creative ways to engage clients and meet their ever-changing needs, often providing integral support and guidance. Kevin graduated from Cornell University in 2006.He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds a Series 65 license.
Chelsea N. Watson
Chelsea Watson joined Morton Capital in April of 2010 and has over 8 years of experience in the independent advisory space. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration at the University of Southern California before completing the Personal Financial Planning program at the University of California, Los Angeles. Chelsea is a Wealth Advisor, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, and an integral part of the Morton Capital advisory team. She is also a member of the Financial Planning Association. Chelsea cites economic empowerment as a cause close to her heart.
Celia has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in wealth management and financial planning. Prior to joining Morton Capital, she was a senior director at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., with a concentration in the development of estate planning solutions for affluent families and business owners. Celia earned her Bachelor of Science from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, with a double major in finance and logistics in 2007, and became aCERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2012. Celia holds a Series 65 license and is recognized as a notary public in the state of California.
Alan S. Kane
Alan Kane has been in the financial services business since 1982. He joined Morton Capital as an officer, senior investment advisor and a member of the Investment Committee. Alan specializes in creating individual portfolios of growth and value stocks using fundamental analysis. Prior to joining Morton Capital, Alan managed the Gruntal & Company Los Angeles office for nine years, where his client base represented approximately $100 million in assets. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a member of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners and a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor®.
Cathy C. Cash
Cathy Cash has over 25 years of experience in finance and investment management. Prior to joining Morton Capital, she spent several years with Northern Trust as a wealth strategist responsible for marketing to affluent individuals, families and organizations in Santa Barbara County. Prior to that, she spent three years with Smith Barney as a financial consultant specializing in total wealth management and asset and liability exposure. Cathy is actively involved in the Santa Barbara community. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her master’s degree in business from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, MO. Cathy is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Bryce Snell joined Morton Capital in May 2016. As an associate wealth advisor, he communicates with clients and effectively coordinates solutions to their needs between the advisors and administrative team. Bryce graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Science in business administration focused on insurance and financial services. He holds a Series 65 license and is currently in the process of earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Paul F. McDonald
Paul McDonald has been in the financial services business since 1994, including more than ten years as an investment advisor with Morton Capital and eight years as a senior investment consultant with Charles Schwab & Company, Inc. He serves on the Investment Committee at Morton Capital and is the lead representative for the Schwab Advisor Network. A retired Navy commander, Paul served 22 years on active duty, highlighted by his accumulation of over 2,500 hours as a tactical coordinator and mission commander in the Lockheed P-3 Orion aircraft as well as tours of duty as Officer-in-Charge, Patrol Squadron Sixty-Five; Training Officer, Commander Reserve Patrol Wing Pacific; and, Executive Officer, Naval Air Reserve Point Mugu. He has received numerous awards, including the Presidential Meritorious Service Medal. Paul earned his MBA from California State University, Northridge.

Destiny Freeman joined Morton Capital Management in April 2016. Prior to joining Morton Capital, she worked for Santa Barbara Bank and Trust/Union Bank as a private banker from 2012 to 2016. She is a member of the Young Leaders Society of Santa Barbara County, as well as the Community Involvement Advisor for the Kappa Alpha Theta chapter of the University of California, Santa Barbara. Destiny earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Pepperdine University and her MBA in financial planning from California Lutheran University. She is a Certified Retirement Counsellor® and holds a Series 65 license. Destiny is currently in the process of earning her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Menachem Striks joined Morton Capital in 2016 and is responsible for managing all aspects of Morton Capital’s compliance program. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an associate attorney at a boutique securities law firm. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School. During law school, he was selected to join the Student Honors Program at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and was an extern at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Menachem is a member of the State Bar of California.

Dan Charoenrath joined Morton Capital in November 2017. He is the Director of Client Operations, managing the Account Servicing Team. Prior to joining Morton Capital, Dan spent five years managing multiple units for Peet’s Coffee and Tea, overseeing all locations from San Luis Obispo County through Ventura County. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2004.

Business Operations Manager
Laura An joined Morton Capital in August 2014. She brought with her 18 years of experience in project management and administration from a variety of industries, including restaurant franchising, hospital patient finance consulting, construction and manufacturing. Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history with a business administration specialization from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1994.
Angela Roper joined Morton Capital in December 2006. Angela is a senior research analyst and is a member of the Investment Committee. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business, with a minor in business law, from California State University, Northridge. Angela earned her Master of Science degree in finance and financial Law from the University of London in 2014.
Leah Loewenthal joined Morton Capital in November 2017. She began her career in the financial industry in 2013 after graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science. As a portfolio analyst, she provides excellent operational, administrative and client support. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors and coaching youth basketball in her local community. She holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
Brittany I. Yudkowsky
Brittany Yudkowsky joined Morton Capital in September 2010 as the Alternative Investments Coordinator. In 2015, she transitioned to working more closely with our wealth advisors to provide support to both clients and advisors and since 2016, has been exclusively focused on financial planning. She manages the financial planning team and coordinates the internal CFP® continuing education program. She is also part of the editorial team that produces the newsletter sent to clients every quarter. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, in June 2006, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Brittany is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.

Erica Crane joined Morton Capital in January 2018 as a Financial Planning Associate. Erica is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and an IRS Enrolled Agent, having served in various roles in small boutique financial planning firms since 2014. She graduated magna cum laude from California State University, Los Angeles, with a major in chemistry and minor in biology, and received her Master of Science in biology from the City of Hope Graduate School of Biological Sciences. Erica is a lifelong native of Los Angeles and has lived in the San Fernando Valley since 2009. She currently serves as the Board Secretary of the San Fernando Valley Arts Council.

Lori Gillem joined Morton Capital in 2015. She brings to Morton Capital over 35 years of front and back office client operations experience in the RIA industry. From 2005 to 2015, Lori was the COO at West Coast Asset Management, a registered investment advisor focused on separately managed accounts, hedge funds and private real estate funds. Previously, she was a Principal in charge of an international operations and settlements department for STW Fixed Income Management. Prior positions include Lucia Capital Management, Walstad Investment Counsel, Bank of America/NationsBank and Santa Barbara Bank & Trust. Lori holds her Series 65 and 7 licenses.
Arlene Vaughan joined Morton Capital in 2010. As Morton Capital’s receptionist, she is the smile that greets you at the door. She is also responsible for day-to-day tasks and administrative duties that serve our clients. Prior to joining Morton Capital, Arlene worked as a client service associate at Bank of America and has over ten years of experience in legal administration. She is currently furthering her studies at Pierce College.
